I wonder if you guys could eventually make an audio version of SSNLH :) I'm more of a auditive learner and I would love to be able to lay in my hammock on a quiet afternoon an absorb this wonderfull information. The absolute nuts would be to have a professional reader doing it.

If it comes to reality, I hope that those who bought the e-book could have a discount :P

Great work guys,

Marty

This would be GREAT as I would also consider myself more of an auditive learner.

Note that Adobe Reader (at least it works in my version 9) has a menu View -> Read Out Loud.

It's possible. I'll look into it.

This might sound crazy to some of you, but I generally do this for all my poker books. I literally read it out loud (Audicity… free), make my audio notes along the way and save it to MP3. I know it seems like a lot of work, but it's the best thing I've ever done for my poker education.

So for example, I might a passage about check raising and I might add the following audio comments after:

' Remember that Bodog game when x player started check raising you when you started to jack up your cbet percentage. Next time, pay attention how fast each player is making adjustments and experiment with reraising. Do they back down?'  or something along those lines.

I just tried Adobe Reader 9's "Read Out Loud" and it's rather un-human sounding.

+3 on the audiobook idea.

Personally, I'd purchase an audio book version myself. I'm going to make the recommendation that I made earlier… make your own audios in the meantime. I've already read through the book once and now I'm making personal audio recordings for myself as I travel. I'm only about 1/3 through the book, these take quite a bit of time.

There's so many advantages:

- Since I'm reading it out loud, it's a much slower pace. I believe this helps me absorb the material better.

- Reading, speaking and then finally hearing it forces you to interpret the information from different angles.

- You can add notes along the way. So for example, you might read a hand example you don't think works. Great, after you read it.. add your own commentary. It not only helps to sort your reasoning but when you listen to it later, it's building block for other thoughts you now have about the hand.
