Are you launching the book at any specific time on June 16th? Do you need anyone (who's already purchased the book) to do a 'quick read' for last minute mistakes? :)

Half a dozen of us have already done last-minute reads looking for mistakes, but the book is too substantial and jam-packed with information for a 'quick read', so none of us actually finished proofreading the entire book in the limited time allotted; at least so I was told. Fortunately we read different sections, so I think pretty much the whole ms got one last read by someone. In my case, just as I hit save on my comments, my program crashed, wiping out all my work. And simultaneously I spilled a can of diet root beer on some handwritten notes I'd made, making the ink run into illegibility. And then I screamed and banged my head against the wall.
In any case, if any significant errors remain, I am sure they will be quickly found by eagle-eyed readers. One of the benefits of the ebook format is that corrections can easily be circulated and incorporated.
So no sneak peeks for volunteer proofreaders….

The story of my life. Thanks for the update!

I'll probably release close to midnight Las Vegas time. That way if there are any technical difficulties I get a day to smooth them out. :)
So about 24 hours from now or so.

That's too bad for folks in New York… they'll have to call in sick to work if they want to stay up and read it.

just posting to work out what the local time is. In Australia and have tomorrow off work, but not the next day, so trying to work out if I can plan to read it all tomorrow or not.
Edit: hmm… guess not, it's 1736, and that post came out at 1236, so I guess I'm looking at getting my email at 1700 local tomorrow night, but with work the morning after.

If I don't have this by midnight I'm going to turn into a pumpkin. I don't think you want that on your conscience, Mr. Miller.

I want the book noooooooooooooooooooooooooow.
Actually, as I'm from the UK and its being released early tomorrow morning UK time, it seems I'll have a good reason to go to sleep early for once and have a nice sleep. Still prefer it now tho :P
Looking forward to it.

Don't plan your day around the release too much.. hehe. I reserve the entire 24 hour period June 16th Las Vegas time to screw up the launch somehow and then spend the rest of the week answering a million angry emails.
P.S. I don't expect problems, but you never know. :)

Another option, often overlooked is to release a little early. This will help iron out any issues and ensure a lot less angry e-mails.
A good time to release it would be about… hmm… now.
If you want to test your release system, you can test it on me if you'd like…
