Anyone else refuse to read the book untill they got it printed on paper?
5 hours struggling with my printer (which refuses to print more than 10 pages at a time until I reboot my computer).
3 trips to Staples for; paper, printer ink, binder, and hole punch.
1/2 hour with my 3 hole punch.
Now I'm happy and ready to get a'reading.
Only problem – printer was out of red ink. %75 of the hand examples in the book just have a blank space where the cards are supposed to be.
But I'm still happy…

I printed in university, it took like 5 minutes with the laser printer. I will bind it soon and then read it.

cyberprime, how much was your bill for ink? I considering same, debating abusing my Canon vs farming it out to Kinko's laser printer.

Thanks, I sure coulda used a pint after that. Printer expertise isn't one of this poker pro's skills.
My bill for ink?
Well, honestly I used one of those ink refill cartridges that I probably paid a dollar for when I got it. And that, most likely, explains why my printer was out of red ink (:.
I was going to print it using standard quality but realized that was going to take hours, so I printed it with fast draft and it actually came out allright other than the missing hearts.
Also, I originally wanted to print two pages per sheet but the print was just too small. I don't know if I could have adjusted that – it was just that the margins took up 50% of the page. I finally printed one page per sheet and am fine with the result: it really gives it a textbook feel.

I have not bought the book yet. I am still contemplating on whether or not to do so base on whether or not I can print out the book as well.
Is there a way of taking the file/ebook to Kinkos and having them print it out?
If this can be done, then I would probably buy the book. That way I don't have to go through what you did and deal with the printer.

Yes, a few people have already gotten the book printed/bound at Kinkos or other printers. You might have to email me and ask for a letter of permission to print the book.. I've sent that so far for a few people and it's worked out.

Wada,
Someone posted somewhere, Ed's site I believe, about using kinko's and it was fairly expensive. And that's cool, if you choose to. I printed mine out at home. Both cartridges read low. I ran to kinko's , cart's (refills I believe) were pretty cheap. I used the one black cart. and never did have to replace the color one yet. So ink was not major expense. Plus Kinko's gives a kickback on returned cartdgs.
I have a V305 Dell, I had no problems whatsoever, other than a break to run to kinko's. I can print any no. of pages, but I ran about 20-25 at a time to avoid paper-loading prob's and to check print each set. It took me all of about 20 minutes. Plus I started reading while others were printing. I used a heavy duty punch and that took all of 5 minutes or less.
Used one of the nice rubbery-like binders from Kinko's, blue, slid the Boyz' printed out title page down in front plastic, and it looks awesome. You might have some problems like some other posters' have run into, but that's not a given. Mine was a cinch.
I am definitely a book type guy, I gaze/glaze over in front of a monitor enough as it is. But I will not bother to buy a hard copy, mine looks great. AND, , while waiting for someone I never go inside anymore. My notebook rest perfectly on steering wheel , more comfortable than reading regular book ( in a jeep at least)
good luck whatever you decide. Even if you hand copy it with markers on unfolded bar napkins, you're gonna have a great book when you're done, content wise anyways.

Youre all suckers. I printed mine in work, took 10 minutes. Binding it up in sheet covers took another 20 minutes.
Then again, if i'm at work and you're all living from poker, then I guess i'm the sucker.

Usually about 10% of the posters in most poker forums claim to be making a living from poker.
My guess is that 10% of those actually are making a living from poker.
I am definitely not one of them…
(Their wuz a time when I culdn't even spel ENGINEER now I are one!)
