I have a friend who bought this book a while ago (when it was still $100). He told me about it and convinced me that I needed to read it. I read his copy and even though I only play like 10nl-25nl… it helped me turn my slightly better than break even game into one where I felt more confident and was making money.
I realized that it was well worth the price and came on here. When I saw there was also a paperback, I was sold. So I ordered my paperback tonight and the digital versions too. I no longer feel like a bum for reading it second hand. I plan on rereading it several more times and to keep improving my game a little at a time now. But the small things I learned from it have already earned me enough to pay for it.
Thanks again for this book. It's fantastic and has really motivated me to improve and try to move up. The biggest "lesson" I got from it at the levels I play? The part about playing 3-bet pots 100xbb deep. So few people are 3-betting light at the level I am at, I was burning money calling 3-bets and trying to flop 2-pair or better. Just changing that one aspect of my game has saved me tons of money already.
Anyway, just wanted to drop in and say thank you for the book and you've got my money now. I don't know if this is the right forum to post this in but I wanted to get it off my chest.
