Hey guys,
I´m currently a full ring player and I play a mostly break even game (nl25+nl50).
Should I adjust the concepts in SSNLHE to full ring play, playing a little tighter as demonstrated in the book, giving UTG raises more respect etc. or would it be a better idea to change to 6 max?

I still prefer full ring personally, however, I like to apply the concepts in a 6 max settings. So basically I split my time between playing for profit at FR and playing to learn at 6 max. You might consider doing something similar, however, you might want to drop down to something like 10nl 6 max until you're comfortable.
The reason I recommend 6 max (rather than playing FR as 6 max) is concepts will come up quite a bit more frequently such as 3/4 bet and blind stealing. I'll tell you this tough.. with the aggression you learn at 6max, you'll have a huge edge at FR.

Also if you decide to play live poker there will be times when table gets short handed, people going to the toilet, craps tables, eat, etc…
Most live players don't like to play short handed, so you'll have an advantage over these nits when u try 6 max

I personally think people should try to learn 6-max. Often 6-max games are more profitable, and once you get settled in with 6-max I think you'll feel more comfortable and confident making your full ring decisions.
But there's nothing really wrong with just sticking with full ring if for whatever reason you really don't like 6-max.

Most $1-$2 players won't read this book. In fact, the overwhelming majority won't read this book. And most buyers of this book won't study it. Like me. I own maybe 30 poker strategy books and have never read any cover-to-cover except the ones I wrote. You're good to go. ;-)

QFT, as they say.
I am so guilty of this…in the past. :)
However, most poker books aren't as good as this one, so you may get a more people than usual willing to study it.
OP, I used to play exclusively full ring. 6-max puts you in more marginal situations way more often, which tends to speed your development as a poker player.

I prefer playing full ring online games, as compared to six max….so I have sorta been playing full ring while "fooling around" in six max (and losing a little!).
However, I have been slowly applying some principles from this new book in the full ring online games and its working wonderfully so far! I would speculate that in full ring games, you need more showdown equity than steal equity……so you need to play a little tighter, especially from early position. The blind steals and re-steals work wonderfully, just need to track who is doing what (and I don't even use tracking software (yet)).
One thing I can say is that when I play live 1-2 in atlantic city, and the game gets short-handed for one reason or another, I start licking my chops. The players play very weak/tight (as if they are still in a full ring game) and you're given tons of opportunities to run the game over. This book definitely comes into play then.
Either way, I am really enjoying the book so far!

Well I looked at it as if $1/$2 6 max was the toughest of the low limits and seeing as how I have a tiny bankroll, I figure that .01/.02 6 max would be the easiest. So I've been giving that a go. Didn't do too bad my first 150 hands or so but the last 400 have been terrible (yes I know way too small a sample size). I guess I'm playing too loose (30/22 pre-flop). I doubt I'll make it much longer if I get sucked out on too many more times or overplay my hands or do something else stupid I'll be back to the play money until I get my $2 worth of rake again in July and then it starts all over again… Tired of losing and dumping more money on to a site. At least this no deposit thing for US players has saved me some money.
