Hello,
Has anyone done a review of the book? (I can't find any)
If any of the buyers can write some comments it will be appreciated; that will help me decide if I'm buying it or not (I'm not in the exact market, although close I think).
Thanks

I read an early draft.
It was just the triple draw chapter ripped out of Super System 2 with a crayon doodled cover.
Fantastic!

david must have hacked our server. :(
lazyant, no reviews right now because we haven't sent out any copies yet. You'll probably start seeing reviews pop up here and there on or about the release date. One reason we offered the large preorder discount is because we know from a buyers perspective buying without having seen a review constitutes a bit of a gamble.

Just wanted to say this book is excellent! I am familiar with some of the concepts but many of them are new to me. I knew when I read the 64 Squares chapter that this book was for me. Having played 20,000 hands and being a break-even player at best, I knew I needed to grow as a player. The book is very in depth, and comprehensive. While I regret not pre-ordering the book, I have no problem whatsoever with having paid the full price.
Thanks for the wonderful book and thank you for the prompt email regarding copyright permission.

I think this is the right book for me to assemble my scattered pieces of holdem knowledge into a coherent and useful skill and deeper mastery of the game's principles.
Ah, and it's nice to have some direct input from the authors.

I'd like to submit a quick review.
In short: This is the best poker book I've ever read.
And I've read quite a few. I own an outright embarrassing number of poker books for someone who still plays the microstakes.
The book promised a lot before it was released. I was really, really skeptical of it's ability to deliver on those promises. A guide to 1/2 6-max? In one book? Yeah, right. My expectations were that I would pay the pre-order price and get something that was well worth the money, but surely not all it was promoted to be. I was not prepared for the amount of awesome that Matt, Sunny, and Ed crammed into 300 pages. I'm going to enjoy the coming months as i attempt to cram it all into my head in a way that results in a winning strategy.
As cliche as it sounds, I'm worried you guys are going to kill the games. Maybe in a year this will be the guide to beat 0.50/1.
This book is worth $100 without a second thought. It's underpriced, IMO.
Disclaimer: I have not read any of the other poker ebooks.

For those who are wondering, and would like my $0.02 concerning the book…
It's easy to read, the writing is clear, with lots of examples. The book is not bogged down in theory and math (like some other books – you can figure out which ones for yourself) and gives an idea of what it is like to think as a poker player.
It's a good book.

Finally…a true NLH cash game book that is filled with specific strategies to crush the competition. Although I've read only several chapters, I really enjoyed the chapter on 3betting, 4betting, and 5betting…I don't think any other book really discusses the nuances of this important concept. I'm looking forward to finishing the rest of the book. Thanks Ed, Sunny, and Matt for providing us with real solid NLH advice…I'm throwing my other NLH books away!!!
