I recall some passages from PNL (too lazy to go grab the exact pg numbers) that promised that some of the material would be further explored in PNL II. I think this referred mainly to preflop material and using SPR to determine the best lines postflop.

I was looking forward to this stuff (as well as sections on "the most common mistakes" and "preflop to postflop"). Was this material incorporated into SSNLHE or was it completely scrapped?

It sounded like useful stuff so I was just wondering.

In any case, I'm eagerly anticipating the release, and as a long-time Ed Miller reader (and as someone who has read a couple of the much higher priced e-books) I would like to say that the price for these books is more than fair for the customer.

Well, honestly most of that stuff isn't in this book. The deal with the publisher for PNL2 fell through, and so that project basically died with the deal.

This book is definitely not PNL2, though we do use some of the terms like commitment and SPR in this book.

What you mention was and is useful stuff, and it bothers me that we promised it in PNL1 and now it looks like it's not happening. Maybe one day we'll write some of that stuff up.

PS – if the name "PNL 2" is tied up with the original publiisher (legal stuff?), you guys could just change the name, and then bill it as "the sequel to PNL 1".  You could call it something like "PNL for Advanced Players" Wink Laugh
