I've studied and applied the methods as described in this book. Doing exactly what the authors advocate is losing me money. How about a refund?

I have misapplied many concepts in this book, haven't put in much work, am not a very bright person in general, and love to blame others for my shortcoming. Can I also have a refund?

What does that have to do with my original post? I correctly applied the concepts in the book, have put in a ton of work, am brighter than average and am doing exactly what the authors state in the book. No profits.
That's the authors' shortcoming, not mine.

no you haven't applied the concepts in the book. no you're not brighter than average. and no you're not doing exactly what the authors state in the book. although maybe you have put in a ton of work (whatever that means).
many have benefited from the book… but you haven't apparently. i guess it must suck being you.

I am almost finished reading the book, and I intend on reading it again.
My thoughts for the people who are still losing money is to do more studing of the hands they lost rather than keep playing. I am sure as they review many of the hands they will find some
hands where they did misapplied a concept, and let not forget about "variance".
If you are going to complain about losing money at least have some facts and figures as to how many hands you played, and the stats of the players who are beating you.

Very good points excelvba. To add to that. Also make sure you have played at least 25K hands before you are so quick to judge.

Since when did buying a book become a guaranteed way to win money playing poker?
The author tries to present certain concepts and styles that they've found to be successful, but it's up to you to apply the concepts correctly and ultimately find your own style that works. The best book ever written could not make everyone a winner because everything in poker is so dependent and variable, and everyone is wired differently.
don't blame the authors.
