In no limit/ sklansky.. the book says limping in ep with ungapped sc's and small pairs is ok even if your opponents are a little aggressive.

Then ed miller says on his site that limping in generally wrong and to cr bluff some of your limps against  a very agg player in the two steal positions – the cutoff and the button.

So for years i would limp a good bit then fold to a raise usually as well as checkraise possible steal raises sometimes.  But generally limping in with speculative hands seems not a good idea unless u know table is very passive?

This topic was not really addressed in the book anywhere was it?

I thought i read in dan harrington's book that after two limpers limp to generally just raise with premium hands.. considering they could be limping with hands like aq, aj, jj, 10-10, kqo, kqs.

So whats the consensus on this issue.  I'm thinking not too limp as much as sklansky advised.

in the modern online game open-limping is usually dumb, because you steal the blinds often enough to making raising much better.  in some live games where 4-5 players typically see flops in unraised pots, limping can be fine.
