Hi,

I hope this is the right place to post my question.

On page 25 paragraph 3. you are saying it is bad to steal A5s UTG with 1:5 odds somebody raises you.

You are loosing your $8 open raise once and winning $3 blinds in 5 cases.

5*$3 – 1*$8 = $7

You are making $7/6 every time preflop. Its +EV, even without considering the times you flush over flush your opponents etc.

Is there something I don't get?

Hi Troem,

Sometimes you will get called, not raised. You can work percentages where blind stealing profit makes A5s utg make sense, but in our play (mostly Sunny's as he played the lion's share of hands) opponents called often enough to make the hand dubious at best.
