ok .50/ 1 on wsex.com.  Stacks are 71 bucks.

 

Hu.. villian raise 3.. i 3 bet to 11..

 

he calls.. flop comes out 2 88.. 

 

Spr is about 3 and i figure i'm committed hitting middle pair on a paired high card when spr is 3 or under usually.. 

 

I raise 18 into 22 flop.. he shoves 60.. i call.

 

He shows JJ and i look bad.  

What are some rules of thumb when u hit a hand like this?   This oppoent calls 60% of 3 bets and folds 40% vs c bets.

 

Should i lower my spr on a hand like this vs a usual non bluffing opponent? thanks mike

Guess you had 33-77.  In most $0.50-$1 games/opponents I like firing big on the flop and folding to a raise. We're kind of past the max aggresion on paired low boards in 3-bet pots. I'll be wrong often but usually they'll have me beat.  If opponents on wsex are tougher than that it's a reasonable call, and against many tougher regs who are aggro POSTFLOP you have to call but really want 77 and not 33.
