On some other post in this froum someone said

"…I am purchasing this book and getting very involved in the study group when it commences."

(cant remember the username but is in the post about the pricing of the book)

Can anyone explain me about the study groups? I am a NL25 player (player, not winner yet, I am on it ) so it may be way over my league but if I can i will be very happy to participate on a study group.

cheers,

Study groups are usually just a few people that get together to discuss hands and general strategy.  It is done using IM, windows messenger or Skype.

Basically what happens is the interested partys just start a study group thread at this site and go over each chapter. Usually a week a chapter. All one does is simply join in the thread.

Someone responsible and orderly will need to take charge and keep it running smoothly and on topic.

Expect the group to happen perhaps in about a months time. Two weeks notice prior to commencement is a very good idea. This way the word gets out and there are interested partys getting prepared to discuss thier points of interest from chapter one on.

I think one couild persuade Ed to send email notification to all members about the start up date for the group.

A study group for this text is pure +EV Cool

Great post Dafarg, it siounds like you've had quite a bit of experience with this in the past. I know there's another post somewhere that shows a lot of interest concerning an organized study group. If interested, you should definitely contact the authors about helping to arrange it.
